Changes in the vowel patterns, and the use of prefixes, infixes, and suffixes, can produce hundreds of forms from one root.

  • קרא (qara) He called

  • ויקרא (vayiqra) And he called

  • תקרא (tiqra) She will call; you will call

Those who know the language internalize the vowel patterns and can read without vowels.
But we goyim should learn the vowels.

  1. It’s not just you goyim that need to learn the vowels believe me. The funny thing is, after a year or so, you do tend to be able to guess what the vowls are. It’s like magic.
